the confusionary

the confusionary is a hypertextual poem written in Twine and generated with AI. The first passage was written 2009 based on a gross dream I had. The rest of the poem was created using GPT-neo, fed a corpus of ~750k words of LiveJournal entries I wrote between 2004-2010.  Phrasing has been cleaned up, and two or three entries are written entirely from scratch. 

It is illustrated using neuralblender.com.  I used this tool before I was aware of the copyright issues with data scraping AI systems. I'm keeping the game up for free. 

the confusionary is a nebulous, textural, sometimes visceral world to wander around in. There are dead ends but no real endings, many rooms but the only destination is whatever place you choose to get sucked into.
