Renters Market
A downloadable game for Windows
Renters Market is a short but lushly-illustrated point-and-click adventure game about trying to rent a haunted apartment in Toronto. You are a giant and a rat and you have been roommates forever, but you've been renovicted and you're running out of time. You are attending an open house for a suspiciously cheap apartment that you cannot afford.
Scour the house for evidence with which to blackmail the landlord into lowering the rent, while convincing the other prospective tenants not to put in an offer.
Luckily, the house is haunted by the ghost of a recent murder victim. Excellent! Unfortunately, they can’t remember any details about their death, so you’ll have to investigate to jog his memory and prove both the landlord and foul play were involved.
Unluckily, one of the other attendees is Cynthia, a plucky young exorcist, determined to lay to rest any spirits she may come across. You can't get rid of her, but maybe she can help you if you don't reveal too much.
